Biography

Marlon "Malo" Webster began stage performance at a tender age of 15 where he sang with the Guyanese band Pinnacle. While playing one evening in Palm Court Club David Hooper, the previous manager of international soca sensation, saw them and offered them to go to Barbados. The band saw this only as a beneficial to their music career and made the trip. In Barbados the group met with some unfortunate fate and disbanded. However, Malo decided to stay on in Barbados under the management of David Hooper. There he was able to open many shows for some popular artistes and bands such as Machal Montano, Rupee, Krosfyah, Alision Hinds and the Square One Band. He performed with two bands in Barbados, Xtasy and 4 D People. However, Malo found that his career was not progressing satisfactorily and decided to return home to Guyana. Upon his return he joined a new band, Mingle Sound Machine, under the supervision of Mike Fung. He stayed with the band for three successful years and recorded a few singles such as Whine Baby Whine on the Koction Riddim, You Girl on the Dredded Riddim, One Big Family and Still Be (reggae). Malo later realised that to make himself known, he had to go solo. Malo contracted the services of businessman Jonathan Beepat as his manager and is now ready for the soca world as a soloist. Since then he recorded four new songs, I Lied on the Everready Riddim, Jukie Jam which entered the Soca Monarch Competition, Give It to Me and Rugged and Tough which entered the International Soca Monarch. Malo is full of energy and anyone who sees his stage performance can attest to that. His songs are fun and either tells a story or is for the ladies.

Marlon I have always wonder what sort of name u have 'Malo' but now I get to see what that sexy name came from. Marlon u r one out of a million Guyanese star. The songs u sing and the way u act when u sing them makes my skin grow. u go boy is u alone no one else but u. Really really awesome tracks in playlist...
