For many years, Women Empowerment groups worldwide have been proactive in inspiring women in developmental areas of economic independency, mobility, exercise of rights and overall; breaking personal limitations. Now, ask yourself, what defines a woman?
Well maybe you can find the answer at the 'Feminition' Women's Expo, an initiative presented by the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security. This event is available to the public free of charge for three days from May 27 to 29 at the Guyana National Stadium.
The first of its kind in Guyana, Feminition will showcase skillful women who work in the commercial, industrial and domestic fraternities. Hundreds of spots have already been confirmed, and numerous booths will be available, providing a wide array of services, including Arts and Craft, Health consultations, Seminars and Training in various areas, Entrepreneurship and Business advice, Local Fashion and Beauty Care. There will also be live makeovers sessions, body massages and several HIV Counseling and Testing sites.
In addition patrons will be treated to an incredible all female Mega Concert on May 28 featuring some of the hottest local and Caribbean artistes. Then, the following night all divas and 'fashionistas' can head down to 'Feminition Fashion Fest', for a superb showcase of the talent by some of the leading Guyanese designers and models!
The organizers hope to make this an annual event where women can effectively showcase their skills and talents and ultimately achieve general growth.
