Introducing: Nikeshia Alexander on a musical quest

Nikeshia Deandra Alexander
The Jingle song competition has come and gone and it is no secret that Brandon Hardin is the winner but while GTT works out their plans to engage the talents that made the top ten one lady is wasting no time to be about her musical career business.
Lindener Nikeshia Deandra Alexander aged 21 whose voice will be remembered for covering songs such as Free, Born this way and wait a while in the competition is set to commence recording several originals in addition to a motivational song already released. "The competition was a great experience and I'm happy to have been a part of it but beyond that I love singing and some people seem to like hearing me sing so I'm gonna do what I do best sing, sing and sing, with an aim to take Guyanese music to the international mainstream."
She's got a new video out done by Divine entertainment group in Linden as well as collaboration with a Linden group titled mix up.
"Head raise high is a song I wrote with the help of producer/ writer Michael James and tells a story of looking to the future despite your past experiences", the petite lady said. The video is already in rotation on BTV Channel 2 Caribbean Music Box and also on the programme Live Wire aired in Linden on NCN. Though not available for sale it can be accessed on Youtube and on Facebook.
Though she's a daughter of Linden soil she's been singing in church for many years in and Antigua where her mum is Deacon. Just how and why did she enter the competition? In 2010 my dad, Nicholas Alexander told me about it and I wanted me to enter. However, before it was announced he passed away in August of that year. After returning to Guyana in April she was not sure that there was gonna be a competition as there was no talk about it in the air. Then word came in August/September that it was happening and so she auditioned in Linden and made it all the way to the finals with no regrets. Now she says "sky is the limit to what can happen to me and my music... Thank you GTT.' No fellas she's not married but she's not available. Over the festive season she sang at GTT's end of year party, Divine Entertainment concert as well as Brandon's Home coming concert in Linden. She's also in Studio working ona collaboration with Guyana's own Natural Black.
